Project Summary

This new build town home in Denver has a full southern exposure and lots of windows running the entire length of the home. Because of the worry about heat gain, the design team selected a very cool and light color palette that would psychologically keep the interior feeling more comfortable and at the same time, reflect some of the wonderful sun in the winter.

Chocolate brown accents were used in the kitchen to add warmth and contrast to an otherwise very contemporary kitchen. The glass backsplash adds interesting texture and sparkle at the same time, as does the glass counter top installed at bar height. The horizontal effect of the glass backsplash is further complimented by the horizontal installation of the reed glass in the upper cabinets on either side of the exhaust hood.

The contemporary powder room features polished nickel light fixtures and plumbing fixtures, along with a glass vessel sink and a counter top built up to look elegant and rich. The combination of glass and polished nickel create a sophisticated and stylish room for the guests and the owners.

Porcelain tile, glass tile, custom painted vanity cabinet – all of these elements in her master bath create a spa like experience for the lady of the house. She can retreat into her bath and feel that she has gone to the beach! The shower floor is even tiled in azure glass tile mosaics so it’s like stepping into the sea at water’s edge in the Caribbean. The polished nickel fixtures add just the right amount of sparkle to go along with the sand colored porcelain and the azure colored glass.
